2. Laying out the Cabinets in the Sketch
Use the Block tool in the sketch to outline the cabinet

In the Properties tab is where you select if you want the area behind, blow, or above removed from the SF of the room

This is where you can also adjust the Height of the Cabinets

As you place the Blocks in the sketch, you can adjust the Width and Depth of the Cabinets

3. Identifying Correct Cabinet Type and Grade
Type of cabinets need to be identified

Standard base cabinets
Full height Cabinets
Upper Cabinets

Refer to 'How to Identify Grade of Cabinets'

Standard
Semi Custom
Custom

Ideally, Having a Cabinet company assist with accurate decription will help determine the Grade of Cabinet you choose in the Xactimate price list

The choices in Xactimate are Standard Grade, Average Grade, High Grade, Premium Grade, and Deluxe Grade

Often times on High End and Custom Design Cabinets, a Bid Item may be needed from a Cabinet Maker to substantiate the Higher End Charges

4. Bringing in a Cabinet Company to Verify
It is wise to bring in a Professional cabinet company to verify all information, including measurements and Grade of cabinets to supply proof to the Insurance Company of Like, Kind, and Quality to insure the Homeowner is getting the correct Dollar amount for the Cabinets that are being replaced.

If they are standard cabinets, you don't need to do this in most cases.
